Time, distance and route assumptions should be understandable. Directions and travel conditions need dependable sources and clear limits.
Travel companion · Ireland first
A better trip starts before the road.
TripPilot brings discovery, itinerary choices, route and weather context, and useful offline information into one travel flow. Its first focus is Dublin and nearby Ireland—built around places worth visiting and the practical decisions that get you there.
Stage: mobile product in development. The screen shown is a prototype capture; the page’s interactions illustrate product intent, not a live TripPilot service.

The idea
Travel plans should survive real travel.
A great place can still make for a poor trip when route timing is vague, weather advice is detached from the day, or useful notes disappear with the signal. TripPilot’s proposed answer is a connected journey: discover a place, assemble a route, understand the conditions, and reopen what matters when connectivity drops.
The first release stays focused. Dublin and nearby Ireland provide a practical area to test local places, food and makers alongside routes and offline behaviour before broadening the map.
Interactive product story
Follow a trip from idea to road.
Choose a step to see the proposed user experience. This is a guided concept, with no route, booking or live forecast service behind the page.
Start with somewhere worth going.
Browse a focused set of destinations and local places, then understand why each stop might fit your time and interests.
- Places with useful context and provenance
- Local food and maker stops in the Ireland pilot
- A clear way into the planning flow
Online concept: route and weather context can be checked before departure.
The phone image is a capture from an existing prototype. Its sample places and counts are not presented as a current catalogue.
Product principles
Useful on the screen. Trustworthy on the road.
Weather is part of a route decision, not just a decorative number. The app should make uncertainty and freshness visible.
Downloaded trip information should reopen after a cold start without a connection. That behaviour must be verified on a device.
From prototype to release
What has to be true next.
Prior app and simulator work explored these journeys. Current production readiness is not asserted here; the next milestone is a bounded Ireland release candidate with clear evidence.
Lock the Ireland MVP
Choose the first geography, the essential discovery and planning journeys, and the meaning of RoadMate within the product.
Prove real-device use
Test itinerary, route and weather behaviour, then download and reopen a trip from a cold offline start.
Clear known blockers
Document the current build and release blockers before any public launch or paid tier is described as available.
Commercial path to test: a focused Ireland launch first, then a Premium offering and potential guide licensing. Neither subscriptions nor licensing are represented here as active revenue.

I’m open to conversations with local partners, travel operators, attraction teams and people who can test the app in real trip conditions.
